Ókígyósi Lipica Golden Stud
In the 1800s, József Antal Wenckheim founded the first Ókígyós Aranyménes with Arabian horses. In 2004, József Balogh, the mayor of Szabadkígyós, bought seven Lipica mares, which became the foundation of the second stud, which now consists of 36 horses. This breed is especially valuable because they are intelligent, easy to train and known as horses of splendor. The elegant horses are also offered for sale to breeders and competitors, but anyone can admire the stallion, occasionally foals can be seen among the mares. The Ókígyós Aranyménes was also included in the settlement's treasury.
